Solid building on quiet block
Former Tenant
Pros:
This is a new construction, but I feel that the quality is pretty good, as far as fixtures and finished. I can’t really hear neighbors above or below. I like that there are only seven units per building, so things don’t get out of hand… if there’s an issue, just talk to the person directly.
Cons:
The insulation is unfortunately pretty poor. Cold air streams through the glass doors and windows. Having wall units for heat and A/C is convenient but electric bills in the dead of winter or summer can be $200-$400. Hot water takes a very long time to heat up in the sink and shower. Some units are rent stabilized, some are not.
Advice to owner:
There needs to be a trash/recycling storage area outside so that trash bags don’t have to be on the ground in front of the building if the bins get full.

Newly Built, Just Small
Former Tenant
Pros:
Newly built building so there were no pest problems. There is laundry in building, rooftop access, and access to a security camera.
Cons:
The units and bedrooms are really small. The walls are really thin, so you could hear your neighbor playing their music and sometimes their conversations.
