Poor heat insulation and $500+ electricity bills in the winter

Pros:
Large windows, nice design, convenient virtual doorman
Cons:
*If you are reading this and are thinking about moving in, call ConEdison and ask about what the electricity bills have been in the winter for the unit you’re considering. I can guarantee you you’ll be surprised.
Refusal to take responsibility for abnormally high electricity bill, over a month since we initially gave notice of the heating issues and expensive electricity bill as a result of those issues and we still haven’t had any help for over a month - in the middle of winter)
Shoddy construction around the unit (crooked light switches on the wall, gaps around windows, gaps in the molding where cold air comes through, cold air coming through electric outlets, large gaps between the wall and floors where cold air comes through
Advice to owner:
Be transparent about the apartment. Adhere to your own lease agreement if you’re made aware of an issue that is significantly impacting living conditions. Heating issues should not take over a month to deal with in the middle of winter.
