I wouldn’t rent here again
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super was somewhat responsive. Through text he was not responsive but when you made an appointment with the building management he would show up 95% of the time. It’s a quiet building
Cons:
This building has a huge pest problem (German roaches and vermin in the walls). I would never rent here again because of it. The building management was not responsive when requesting an extra service for extermination and I would have to send email after email begging them to send an exterminator more than once a month. When the exterminator came all they would do is spray a little which did not solve the massive roach issue. I did go 6 months roach free (but these were all winter months) once July hit I would see 4-10 a day. After 6 extermination services in 4 months I was still averaging seeing 1-2 a day of all different sizes. I also started to hear scurrying and gnawing in the walls!

The building management will ignore and gaslight you about any problem. And rent stabalized might sound great but they will raise your rent every year for the max percentage all while living in fear of roaches
Advice to owner:
Make the ENTIRE building get extermination services

Bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is around. Building is clean
Cons:
Communication with management is very poor. We scheduled a work order many times but never came.
They increased our rent every year and i paid an increased deposit. But they had no records and demanded money that I supposedly owed. Keep all your statements and receipts.
Superintendent is very sensitive. We asked him to remove his shoes and he stormed out. Had to coax him back and listen to his woes.

All in all, don’t trust the management to solve any of your issues. Do it yourself. Keep payment receipts.
Advice to owner:
Take care of your tenants. They are human beings. Not money making machines.
