    Abusive and scary landlord + family

    Pros:
    Pre-War building - the outside aesthetic is beautiful. The apartments still have the original moldings, and charm. At the time it was affordable.
    Cons:
    The landlord refused to update any part of the apartment. Old pipes, disgusting peeling linoleum floors, old rugs. The landlord who lived on the first floor and her daughter became highly abusive. Police were called, and a restraining order was going to be filed, but I moved to get out of the building. Kaliopi and Anna Plakas, along with Sylvia (Kaliopis daughter) are abusive and mentally unwell. They are paranoid, installed cameras to watch tenants, would stop tenants in the hallway to check who they were bringing in the building, are racist, threatened violence, would scream and yell, did not follow NY regulations or laws and were proud of it. Highly toxic family, and are OK with treating people poorly. Didnt return SD because they said I had to "prove" why I get it back. They do not talk to people, they only scream.
