It was a truly traumatic experience living here. The landlord who went by “George” would blast metal rock music from his 1st floor unit and would only accept rent in cash (and specifically demanded it be in $100 dollar bills.) I was 22 at the time and now know that it was illegal for him to demand this, but I fearfully followed orders back then. He was absolutely a drug dealer, with new people coming in and out of his unit all hours of the night. He never hesitated to scream at tenants with abusive profanity for something as simple as a mistake separating types of recycling — he once chased me down the block throwing my recently-disposed trash bag at me and screaming about how I didn’t separate the plastics correctly. When we moved out, he tried to demand that we pay for Stanley Steamer to clean the perfectly clean carpets. That is HIS expense as the owner, not ours. Upon moving day, he screamed at us that “7am is too early” for moving trucks to be there, and then when my roommate was alone in the unit picking up the last items, he made a pass at her. It was truly disgusting and he’s a horrible person.
Advice to owner:
Please stop being a landlord, you’re a criminal
