Good time renting hard time collecting deposit on move out
Pros
The building is clean, management is responsive. It was the best building I lived in so far.
Cons
Upon move out the owner tried to withhold my deposit for invalid reasons. I had to research that they were not in compliance with HPD and that they had to legally give me my entire deposit back. The owner tried to intimidate me over the phone but once I shared that information over the phone and via email I received my full deposit.
Advice to the owners
Keep taking care of the building. Your staff is great. Clear the violations on your property so you don't continue being fined.
