The building is nice, well built, great kitchens and apartment finishes for the most part. It’s mostly quiet except for when the trains go by. The super is so nice and will come help you out when you need it. He’s forgetful but all you have to do is text and he’ll be there.
The rent is affordable but everything in the building is a la carte - parking, gas, storage, bike storage…etc.
Cons:
The BROKERS ARE TERRIBLE AND NON-RESPONSIVE. They also don’t communicate to the building when they’ve got a new tenant so we showed up and our apartment was not ready. It hadn’t been painted or cleaned. The heater/air conditioning systems are SO loud and they stop working a lot and have to be reset. The shower/bath system is ok - the shower knob has to be turned just right so that you don’t get water leaking. The front entryway always smells like dog pee regardless of how much they clean it. They like to show apartments on the weekends when the trains come by less often so you don’t hear it/feel it.
The owners also came around to each apartment around the holidays to bribe people to post good reviews of the building. It was like $100 gift card or something because they knew it had tons of bad reviews online - how tacky.
Advice to owner:
Get new brokers. We knew we wanted the apartment but getting your brokers to respond was like pulling teeth. I didn’t even want to give your broker our cashiers checks because I thought he might run off with them.
