The landlord tends to overlook the tenant’s rights. The landlord’s husband came by to drop off keys but the approach was very unwelcoming. The husband loudly conversed on the phone right outside of our door questioning about my roommate’s personal life. My roommate did not appreciate the unexpected questions outside of the unit’s door whom she could’ve answered herself. Furthermore, the landlord is very adamant on supply and less of demand. I’ve never issued a late payment, but she did not wait till the grace period’s ending to question about rent. The phone call was not harmful, but the tone is very definitive about being convenient on her side. Tenant’s must recieve a receipt after every rent is paid but that was not provided.
Advice to the owners
Get to know the building occupants.
