Too many dead roaches
Pros
Great space for the price.
Cons
The amount of dead roaches left in the hallway for WEEKS advertises the fact that they never ever sweep or mop the hallways. Which would explain the occasional roach found in my very clean apartment.
Advice to the owners
Have weekly cleanings of the stairwells and hallways. Please!
Communication is slow
Pros
Great neighborhood (the heart of East Village) The amount of rent I paid ($1500 per room per month in a 2b2b) is reasonable in this neighborhood. It’s an old building so it’s understandable that sometimes during the winter we might have heat problems. Usually when it happens the manager is on top of it and will get it fix right away.
Cons
Super lives in the same building but can’t speak English (only Spanish) so it’s hard for me to communicate with him when needed. The building has no doorman and I’ve had issues receiving packages (1-2 times in 2 years).
Advice to the owners
Be more patient with tenants.
