Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for Robin Gallant's buildings reveal a pattern of management issues, including unresponsiveness, slow or minimal repairs, and a lack of urgency in addressing problems. Common concerns feature persistent pest infestations, inadequate heating, and poor garbage management. While many renters appreciate the locations, spacious apartments, and friendly neighbors, these positives are often overshadowed by neglect in maintenance and communication. Some tenants cite an attentive super but criticize the overall management company's low engagement and care, sometimes labeling the ownership as slumlords. Prospective renters should expect aging properties with limited upkeep and sporadic management involvement.

Could be better, could be worse

Pros

The building itself is pretty well taken care of. Neighbors are all friendly and welcoming, and it's a pretty quiet building inside (not a lot of noise from neighbors) as well as outside, it's a quiet location on the corner of Underhill.

Cons

SMRC as a management company has been ok-- but they are not always the quickest to respond, and often their responses aren't super helpful. It takes a while for issues to be addressed, if they are addressed at all. We have had minimal issues with roaches, after some pest control we did ourselves, but one pretty bad mouse problem- which was addressed fairly quickly (about 1 week or so) by management. Our unit is on the ground floor and doesn't get a lot of light. In the winter, the heat is not very strong and it is often very cold.
