Pros
Quiet and nice neighborhood. Building tenants are friendly in general building is kept clean by tenants.
Cons
Maintenance is almost not existent. We have the guy from next door who only comes, if he shows, after hours or sends someone else to look but not actually do the repair. Damage can be left for months without repair. He also plays favorites with the tenants somewhat in a discriminatory manner Rat problem with pockets of rat feces in walls and other spots. Packages are left in hall so can go missing. They promo as a 'Luxury Building" but have no amenities. Heat and hot water go out a few times a year. Tenants tend to move out in a year or less if the pay full price. Security is not good as the buzzer is always broken so tenants let everyone in-- if you have children this could be concerning.
Advice to the owners
Get a better handle on the maintenance staff, both in the building and at the main company. It actually cost more not fix things then just to repair right away. And do a quality job when repairing - come and check the work to see that either you are not getting what you pay for or you are just doing a poor job.
