Stupid Super and Poorly Managed

Pros

It’s well placed, with lots of restaurants, pharmacies and a Trader Joe’s nearby. Madison Square Park is close. The apartment itself was nice.

Cons

The super barely knew which way was up and would happily let you go without if it meant he could do less work. Our fridge broke and instead of trying to quickly figure out the solution or even a rent deduction he simply suggested to “Put the food in a plastic bag and hang it out of the window. It’s cold outside.”. The trash area was right as you walk into the building and it was disgusting quite frankly. The super would disappear for weeks at a time and the replacement didn’t clear it. During Hurricane Ida a leak appeared in the roommate’s ceiling and the management did not send anyone out to fix the hole. We moved out with the hole intact. The neighbors would stamp around upstairs and scream constantly on their terrace downstairs. Needed renovation.

Advice to the owners

Hire people that want to work and manage the building better.

It’s okay here

Pros

Decent amount of space The super is amazing

Cons

Loud, dirty, the trash is right when you walk in so you have to walk by the trash each time you go into the building
