Great location No major bug or rodent issue
Cons
- Stellar Management is AWFUL - Lots of apartments are filled with massive families (my neighboring apartment has 12 people living in it, 4 parents and 8 (!) children) It’s LOUD. - Absolutely no building or apartment maintenance - Super is absolutely hopeless - massive language barrier for English speakers, and also just really not able to resolve issues of any kind. - tons of heat and hot water issues. Apt was 55-60 degrees all winter.
Advice to the owners
Maintain your apartments better, don’t raise the rent to the legal max every year if you’re not doing anything to maintain the building.
Rats in the walls
Pros
Location is convenient to the C and the A train
Cons
Active drug dealing out front, rats in the walls. Response from the super was "this is Washington heights, what do you expect?"
