THIS LANDLORD IS A BONAFIDE SLUMLORD
Pros
The area is great and getting better.
Cons
The building is in poor condition and the management is shady. The area doesn't feel entirely safe.

Super old building with lots of maintenance issues
Pros
The location is amazing, close to the 1, ACE, madison square park, whole foods, and trader joes.
Cons
- lots of stressful pest and maintenance issues - radiator overheats and gets super hot in the winter - the super does a hasty/messy job when fixing up the apartment (leaving dried caulk stuck all over the floor/floorboards, leaving cracks after patching up holes in the ceiling)
Advice to the owners
Try to fix up the common spaces (especially the stairs) and renovate the apartments.
