Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Isaac Weiss reveal a mixed experience. Some properties offer spacious layouts, good heating, and convenient locations with modern finishes. However, persistent issues include slow owner responsiveness, pest infestations (especially roaches and rodents), noise from neighbors, and occasional water leaks. Garbage management and cleanliness vary across buildings with some complaints about inadequate pest control and thin walls contributing to noise disturbances. Despite efforts to address problems, renters often find management slow to respond and maintenance inconsistent. Prospective tenants should expect reasonable amenities but also be prepared to advocate for quicker management action and pest management improvements.

Reviews

Former tenant·7 months ago

Roaches but overall okay

Pros

The heat was never an issue, utility prices were okay, I liked the neighborhood, and the natural lighting in the bedrooms was great.

Cons

Roach infestation, mice, loud neighbors, management was slow to reply

Advice to the owners

More bug extermination

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Decent

Pros

Monthly pest control services and hall cleanings, laundry in the basement (paid), had a dishwasher, tall ceilings and lots of lighting, modern finishes

Cons

Super thin walls and incredibly loud neighbours depending on your floor, cockroaches in the basement but that’s nyc, water problems (multiple bathroom ceilings leaks throughout the building) 2 of which were due to the neighbours so not really on the building so much, only 1 issue was due to the building but they fixed it quick
