Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Israel David consistently reveal significant management challenges. Common issues include poor building cleanliness, persistent pest infestations (notably rodents and roaches), unreliable heating, and inadequate maintenance responsiveness. Garbage management is occasionally acceptable but often problematic, contributing to overall unsanitary conditions. Residents report that repairs are frequently delayed or neglected, with some improvements only occurring after municipal involvement. Security concerns, such as package theft and broken entry systems, are recurrent. While some tenants appreciate spacious units and neighborhood location, the management's neglect and poor communication result in widespread dissatisfaction, advising potential renters to exercise caution.

Total Joke of a building

Pros

Renovated unit, nice quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors

Cons

The stairwell and lobby are in total disarray: peeling paint, dirty gum stained floors, worn out stairs, crumbling sheetrock and water leaking from roof. Maintenance requests are almost never fulfilled. Exterminator is supposed to come once a month but never does anymore. Renovation in unit was done cheaply and poorly, for example they bought a fridge that was too big so they just ripped open the sheet rock so it could jam it in, leaving gaping holes in the wall. They also never painted our door. Such a ripoff for the price too.

Advice to the owners

Give your tenants the conditions your tenants deserve or get out of the building management business.
