Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Thomas Yu reveals mixed experiences. While some residents appreciate spacious, well-kept apartments and convenient locations, many express dissatisfaction with management's slow responsiveness and inconsistent enforcement of building rules. Noise disturbances, pest issues, and poor garbage management are recurring concerns. The superintendents' level of engagement sometimes falls short, particularly affecting senior tenants' needs. Tenants also note limited laundry hours and occasional neglect in upkeep. Overall, renters looking at Thomas Yu's buildings should expect decent housing quality but should be cautious about management's timely support and handling of neighbor-related nuisances.

Reviews

Former tenant·Over 1 year ago

short and sweet

Pros

Everything is near bus, train, store's and to wash clothes it's in the basement...... I also control the heat......

Cons

Management will not reach out right away and the super can be lazy.....

Advice to the owners

Reach out to us if we call , Talk to the super about his job, Many seniors are living in building and need help

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Good building, loud neighborhood. Annoying management

Pros

The apartments are big. The building is well kept and the for the most part all of the tenants get along.

Cons

It’s soooo loud. I wish management would install better noise insulating windows.

Advice to the owners

Have better hours. A lot of things happen between 9-5 when people are working. Like the laundromat hours are 7 am to 6pm. You’re a working person who don’t get to utilize the in- building laundry.
