Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Denay Riley indicate a mix of experiences characterized by good location and ample natural light, along with friendly neighbors in some cases. However, recurring issues include poor garbage management, pest infestations, and noise due to busy street corners. Heating systems appear inconsistent, ranging from unbearably hot to well-functioning. Management responsiveness is often seen as slow or defensive, and cleanliness is frequently criticized. While some tenants appreciate the space and proximity to transit, many advise improved building upkeep and more proactive management to address cleanliness, pest control, and noise concerns for better living conditions.

Fine if it’s your first apartment out of college

Pros

Close to subways, nice neighbors

Cons

Pests were a problem, garbage all over the floor, heat is insanely hot in the winter to the point it is unbearable, very loud corner

Advice to the owners

Take care of the building more

Amazing place overall if you can deal with the drawbacks

Pros

Super close to WV and Chelsea, ridiculous amount of room, and living room with a ton of natural light. Super is a great guy. Central to pretty much anywhere you want to go in NYC it is near so many subways.

Cons

Garbage piles up and it was a mess when we moved in. There were very bad problems with roaches when we first moved in and after a month or two were able to sort it out. Can get loud I got used to it after a couple weeks but bothers some people. VERY busy street corner.

Advice to the owners

Less defensive with complaints, better turnover pretty lazy even though it’s otherwise a beautiful place.
