they cut corners but could be worse

Cons
they cut corners. Many things were cheaply installed. Homeless encampment right outside the front door Property manager threatened to withhold deposit over a misunderstanding but we got the full deposit back lol.

This building is well cleaned and maintained - the super works hard to maintain the garbage room and wash the stairs. Haven’t had any issues with water pressure or pests.
Cons
14th and 1st intersection is one of the worst blocks in Manhattan - pretty dangerous at worst, covered in garbage at best. One of the biggest drawbacks to living here. It’s been difficult to get ahold of management for repairs to the apartment, which is frustrating. The entire building is young people which means that on the weekends music thumps all night long - not a good building for the noise sensitive.
