Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Abraham Waldman reveal a mix of positives and notable issues. Many appreciate the cleanliness, friendly neighbors, and pest-free environments, with some buildings described as well-maintained and reasonably safe. However, a recurring concern is inefficient heating, leading to high utility costs and cold apartments, particularly in basement units. Responsiveness from management varies widely, with some tenants reporting timely repairs while others experience slow or no response, especially regarding heating and maintenance problems. Laundry facilities and mail/package handling also attract criticism. Prospective renters should expect well-kept properties but remain cautious about heating efficiency and management responsiveness.

It's okay if you don't live in the front first floor units

Pros

There's on-site laundry, roof access, minisplit A/C in-unit, easy access to the Q, there's an on-site gym.

Cons

The gym smells terrible, I don't think it gets sanitized. The dryers take forever to dry, and the washing machines can't handle medium size loads. The management can take a long time to respond to support requests, if you live on the first floor be prepared to hate it. During the summer the residents from neighboring buildings will set up speakers on the street and play loud music until 2a - 3a. Living in the front first floor units is noisy, the front door can slam, if the fire panel is broken it will beep for days.

Advice to the owners

Sanitize the gym and get better washers and dryers.
