Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Maggie McCormick reveal significant concerns about management responsiveness and building maintenance. Many tenants report pervasive pest infestations, including mice, cockroaches, and rats, coupled with ignored mold and leak issues. Common complaints include broken doors, unsanitary common areas, and faulty heating systems. While some buildings are praised for location and spacious units, management is frequently described as unresponsive, neglectful, and slow to address tenant concerns. Garbage management and cleanliness vary widely, with several properties suffering from poor upkeep. Despite these challenges, a few tenants acknowledge responsive supers and appreciate certain renovated units, though the overall sentiment indicates a need for improved landlord communication and maintenance commitment.

Worst building I've lived in my life

Pros

The street and the neighborhood are nice. Our unit was recently renovated so everything looked nice and worked well at first.

Cons

This has got to be one of the most unkempt, unsanitary buildings I've ever set my foot on. It reeks of rat shit and trash and other smells in the first-floor hallway. Super doesn't clean or help with any problems, and has been told to not do anything unless there's a fire. It all comes down to the landlord, A&E, who basically have a policy of not doing anything at all and minimize costs to an extreme. There's rats, pests, bed bugs, mold, with nothing being done on their part for the three years I lived there.
