Low income housing turned gentrification target

Pros

I am writing because I have to. There are no pros.

Cons

The management is rude to elderly tenants. Management does (illegal) background checks. Cleanliness protocols are not followed, if any exist. There is no security during daylight hours, so lots of criminal activity happens in the lobbies, in plain view, all over the building, and in the courtyard. There have been shootings during the day in the courtyard, with no security to call police or help upon their arrival. Many homeless people come into the building to knock on doors to ask for money. The management company won’t allow the janitors to raise the heat in the wintertime, so the apartments are often as cold inside as it is outside. Management has ignored requests to fix important objects like door locks and stoves.
