Good Transient Apartment Building
Pros
Fun rooftop, young neighbors, prime spot in Ridgewood, Cute murals on the hallway walls
Cons
Had a really bad roach infestation. Reported it to the landlord when we noticed 1-2 and nothing was done, it went on to become so bad that I had to move out. It was disgusting.
Advice to the owners
Respond to your tenants in a timely manner

Essex street blues
Pros
Unit was very clean. New appliances. No key to lock door (can never get locked out!). Landlord is responsive.
Cons
Heat and AC is extremely expensive (400 a month) because of the individual unit per room. Rent was raised over 50% last year. Small. Very very extremely loud. Could barely sleep because of the loud neighbors and bar down stairs.
Advice to the owners
Put in better noise reduction. Better insulation to keep hot and cold in.
