Average/nice building, amazing owner (Mei)
Pros
Both rooms at the front and back of the building get great light at different times of day, love the natural light through the windows, and some exposed brick in the unit adds extra character. Very close to super cute streets with bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Can get onto the roof via a ladder on the top floor, nice for laying out to tan, read, or watch fireworks. Also can sit out on the steps on a nice night. Mei is the BEST landlady ever!!! Always was very responsive and prompt in fixing or addressing any issues we brought up.
Cons
There is a fire station on the block, something to beware of if you’re in a front room. The neighbors also install car sound systems or something, so lots of loud music—I didn’t mind it, but def something to think about especially if you’re working from home. We also had a couple bug problems, but Mei was quick to schedule an exterminator once we let her know.
Advice to the owners
Probably to schedule more regular exterminator visits just so no issues can even get started
