Pros
It was decent during my first year here as far as noise levels and sanitation management. Also the roommates were pretty cool.
Cons
In the middle of the pandemic the landlord left the country, completely neglecting and abandoning the property which led to horrible sanitation management which then catalyzed a rampant pest infestation. I mean roaches EVERYWHERE and even mice at times. The landlord, Rangel Shieh, dragged her feet addressing the roach and mice problem despite constant complaints. On top of that, she did not screen tenants or exercise great judgment selecting tenants as she allowed a tenant on our floor who would literally scream in the middle of the night and threaten to KILL other tenants. Despite the fact she knew he was threatening to KILL or have other tenants killed, she dismissed the threats as harmless and took no action to evict the raving madman.
Advice to the owners
Sell the property to someone else who would better manage the building. You do not care about your tenants or their safety. Poor management of the building and violation of city codes shows you don't care if tenants literally live or die. Only that you can continue to make money.
