Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Joseph Zitolo reveal a mix of well-maintained, rent-stabilized properties and others suffering from significant management issues. Positive feedback highlights some buildings with friendly staff, clean lobbies, and good amenities where tenants feel comfortable. However, many reviews indicate chronic problems including slow or unresponsive management, pest infestations, unresolved maintenance issues, noisy environments, and unsatisfactory superintendents. Residents often complain about delayed repairs and poor communication. Prospective tenants should expect variable experiences; some buildings are decent, but caution is advised due to inconsistent owner attentiveness and ongoing infrastructure challenges.

Could be better

Pros

For the most part everyone in this building is friendly.

Cons

It may take a while to get things fixed here whether it’s an issue in your apartment or with the building. If elevator is messed up, it takes about 3 whole days until it’s fixed. Packages get here sometimes.

Advice to the owners

Please tend faster to the faulty elevator and intercom please. It’s not fair to those who live on the top floors.

Cozy place for families

Pros

The lobby staff are nice and helpful. The building is well maintained and has made a number of capital improvements. Laundry room is clean and always in working order.

Cons

Neighbors can be nasty - how hard is it to push your trash into the chute rather than leave it on the floor in the trash room? Sometimes people smoke in the stairwell.
