Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Blanchi Farfan show a mixed management experience. Some properties in Manhattan receive praise for excellent cleanliness, attentive staff, and prime locations near parks and commerce, contributing to a generally positive tenant experience. However, several Queens buildings suffer from poor management responsiveness, pest infestations, noise issues, and building maintenance neglect. Tenants frequently highlight unaddressed rodent problems, thin walls, and outdated infrastructure with insufficient repairs. While doormen and neighbors can be positives, inconsistent heating and water issues are common complaints. Overall, management quality varies notably by location, with far stronger satisfaction reported in Manhattan than Queens.

Excellent building, staff, and location

Pros

Great location, one block away from the park and near major commerce. The building staff is top notch, and will go out of their way to aid the residents. Finally, the building is very tastefully decorated, with wood paneling in the lobby/elevators and marble entrance floors.

Cons

Building garden is largely unusable - loud AC vents make it too noisy to use in the summer, too cold in the winter. The building’s location on the corner of Columbus Avenue also attracts some noise, mainly ambulances and truck driving down the street.

Not a great place to live

Pros

Across the street from a strip of stores and restaurants

Cons

This is not an ideal living situation. BRG management is horrible. They are not responsive and ignore calls and emails. They do not reinforce carpeting requirements making it impossible to get adequate sleep due to banging above that constantly shakes the whole apartment. The walls and floors are extremely thin so everything can be heard day and night. There are roaches and rats that come through the radiators. Not at all an ideal living situation

Advice to the owners

Don’t ignore tenants
