Former tenant·Over 1 year ago

Expensive, but does the job as an apartment

Pros

Maintanence gets back to you relatively fast. The walls are thick so it's pretty quiet (though would note that the doors aren't so you'll hear everything from the hallway and the hallway will hear you). Doormen and staff overall are friendly. Studios are spacious with a full sized kitchen. Close to a lot of grocery stores, AMC , and the 6 line

Cons

- have seen roaches in the apartment (both big and small) - rent hikes are pretty dang high every year (but negotiable) - there are 10 layers of paint and everything is painted over haphazardly

Former tenant·Over 1 year ago

Good for NY

Pros

The handyman is super helpful, the doormen are great, pests are minimal, hot water always works, heat and AC work great. No leaks, no loud neighbors

Cons

About 1-2 cockroaches per year in unit (upper floor), there are a few on the roof which sucks

Advice to the owners

Better pest control, the trash room is super gross and could use cleaning. The Super doesn’t answer calls, just calls back when he wants which is bad for emergencies
