Paper thin walls + Weed Smoke
Pros
Friendly doormen and staff.
Cons
Old building and the smell of weed smoke was a daily occurrence. Building is “non-smoking” but this is far from the case and management will do NOTHING but send out an occasional email. I had to open my windows all year before my lease ended from 30 degree or below weather to 90+ days just to avoid my bedroom from filling with the neighbor’s smoke. I even went through the desperate measure of moving my entire bed from the bedroom to the living room. If you are neighbors with dogs/toddlers you will hear everything. No sleeping in whatsoever. For more than a year there was massive leaking from the upstair bathroom, mold, and a hole that maintenance would patch over that would then leak all over again. Door knob was old and loose and fell out into the hallway at one point.
Advice to the owners
Do something about smokers
One of my favorite apartments
Pros
Beautiful and impressive lobby, really luxurious apartments, and great common space. I loved the indoor pool. The building is in an amazing location. The person in the leasing office was really helpful and friendly. This was one of my favorite apartments for sure.
Cons
Glenwood apartments require a higher income threshold and the approval process can be a bit cumbersome.
