Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of buildings managed by Marc Chemtob report a mixed experience with management. While some buildings benefit from great locations, clean and comfortable environments, and friendly neighbors, others suffer from significant issues such as poor cleanliness, ineffective pest control, garbage problems, and unresponsive management. Several reviews mention roach and rat infestations and management's slow or inadequate response to these concerns. Noise and occasional maintenance issues also arise. Despite some positive interactions with staff and decent amenities, renters advise improved pest control efforts and more attentive owner responsiveness to enhance tenant satisfaction overall.

roach coach building

Pros

excellent neighborhood - tons to do - great transit. so many families, kids, young people, couples, and dogs! the neighbors are super kind and friendly and caring. however, not all of them are - even they’re friendly, but irresponsible more so - the others are negligent and smoke weed and cigs in building, leave their trash open in lobby instead of putting in chute, and also play their music super loud and aren’t responsible in keeping building clean.

Cons

roaches literally everywhere. “exterminator” supposedly comes - he doesn’t. haven’t had water in bathroom sink in months. always have to fix my own appliances. elevator is only working half the time. building is filthy. management, supers, and landlord non-responsive.

Advice to the owners

you should care about your tenants who pay $1600-3500 dollars to live here a month.

Great location - close to trains and Brooklyn Museum Super was friendly Neighbors were nice Dedicated trash area Laundry in basement

Cons

We had a downstairs neighbor that created a cockroach situation towards the end of our lease. Super took a while to respond. Rats by the trash.
