1st NYC Apartment
Pros
The best things about this building were the fact units were rent stabilized, most of the neighbors were friendly and cordial, never had any issues with hot water or heating.
Cons
The owners took forever to respond to maintenance requests and would never actually fix the issue, definition of “landlord special”, had issues with paint peeling/chipping, radiators leaking so bad it caused the laminate floor to warp. There were pungent smells coming from the deli food storage underneath the building.

Decent one-bedroom apartment
Pros
Pretty decent apartment in a decent building. Quiet neighbors, good privacy.
Cons
It’s pretty much an old tenement building so if you’re not directly looking onto the street then your apartment isn’t getting enough sunlight
