Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Tony Huang reveal widespread dissatisfaction with property management. Recurring issues include slow or unresponsive maintenance, persistent pest infestations, poor cleanliness, and security concerns such as broken locks and package theft. Many tenants report malfunctioning amenities, including heating failures and water leaks, along with unsafe conditions like fire hazards and damaged infrastructure. While some buildings have potential due to location and spacious units, the management’s lack of timely repairs and poor communication undermines tenant satisfaction. A few tenants acknowledge decent neighbors and some clean areas, but overall, management is criticized for neglect and ineffective oversight.

Reviews

Former tenant·7 months ago

Terrible

Pros

None this place is terrible

Cons

Super doesn’t respond Extremely loud tenants/neighbors Front door is always broken Windows leaks when it rains causing flooding Neighbors get stalked/harrassed Constant fighting People let literally anyone inside Dirty Management never responds to any issues in a timely manner

Advice to the owners

Sell your building and choose a new profession

Former tenant·11 months ago

Has potential, if properly managed.

Pros

Great location, good views, nice wood, good looking historic building.

Cons

Incredibly slow turnaround for repairs, which often never happen. The super is overwhelmed, looking after too many properties. It takes months for simple fixes to happen, if they happen at all. Every apartment on the top floor has had water damage for the past 6 months because roof repairs were needed. However, it took active leaks from multiple units for ownership to seek out roofers. It took 2 months for the roofers to come and they still haven’t finished the job. In the meantime, the water damage has worsened. Windows NEED to be replaced. They are dirty (and can’t be cleaned, since they are have double panes) and some don’t close completely.

Advice to the owners

Hire someone to help the super. Replace all the windows.
