Former tenant·8 months ago

Doesn’t feel like Heaven in 747

Pros

- Live in Super is very nice and helpful - Appliances work well - Location is quiet aside from trucks driving by - Not much disruption by neighbors when playing neighbors

Cons

- No Mail room or app to open door when not home (packages have been stolen or deliveries have been missed) -Neighbor above me may be involved in domestic dispute -Only 4th floor neighbor has access to roof - cigarette smell on 1st floor

Advice to the owners

Visit the building more, check in with tenants each month or every 2 months!

Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

Decent place, landlord is a horrible person

Pros

Nice amenities like in unit washer/dryer. That’s a game changer. Nice windows If you live on the top floor you split the rooftop with the other tenant on that floor.

Cons

Cheap cabinets, heated bathroom floor NEVER worked from day 1. The Tenant I had to split the roof with, had dogs who would destroy my property and poop all over my belongings. We were promised a division gate or fence but never got it(I have email proof). We were promised this before I signed the lease. I complained numerous times and kept getting lied to until towards the end of my lease where Matt the landlord said other tenants voted against having a division (Howcome I never got to vote on this?? Lies) There is 3 buildings combined, so 3 rooftops, 2 tenants per roof top. Mind you this guy was extremely violent, never paid his electricity and stopped paying rent 4 months in, but made my life hell. We almost fought several times after I would knock on his door and tell him to stop letting his dogs shit on my side/furniture Not only that but he had ghetto people work on the roof and use my furniture to sit on and put their tools on, ripping my shit up. I complained to them and they switched off my ac unit causing me to sit in 90 degree heat until they left and I went up there. I saw they switched my AC unit controller off. Thank god I’m not stupid and inspected the controller. I mentioned this and got brushed off. Con Edison never gets access inside and gives you a monthly estimate from spring to fall of $200 a month in electricity. I was out of my house 14 hours of the day. How is that even possible? To top it off rent was $2,050 and $2,250 with electricity(no gas here btw) 1BR

Advice to the owners

Appreciate your clients. Don’t lie to people and keep your word. You’re just a money hungry liar. I might even go as far and say you’re racist. We know why you let that man slide with all the BS he put me through. Your workers would come into my house and leave it a complete mess whenever they did repairs. I’ve had shit broken and moved around. Most unprofessional piece of work I ever dealt with in my life. Keep them in check and make sure they clean up after themselves. Best Regards, Someone who will never rent from you again
