Landlords churn tenants

Pros

Close to Trader Joe’s.

Cons

The management is more concerned with maximizing rents and churn tenants. Trust that they will increase the rent the maximum amount every year. It’s a good place if you plan to only stay one year. You will see new neighbors on a regular which doesn’t make you feel safe since you see new faces all the time. The landlords don’t care for or want long term tenants outside of those in rent stabilized units, since they have no choice. Also, fix the infestation. Constantly struggled with roaches and I heard other neighbors complain about mice.

Advice to the owners

Fix the pest infestation and keep loyal tenants that pay on time and avoid maximizing rent increases to levels higher than they were pre-pandemic
