The worst apartment I have ever lived in

Literally no part of this apartment was worth it. The water pressure was fine I guess, but nothing to be excited about.
Cons
It was dark, had broken/failing stairs, bare hanging wires, frequent cockroach infestations, and mice in the walls. The landlady is absolutely insane and yells at people (both at tenants and workers) for basically no reason. The apartment flooded multiple times as a result of faulty toilet/sewer plumbing and they didn’t fix it. When they finally did, the landlady screamed at my roommate via phone call that we are at fault because we should never ever use any toilet paper in NYC toilets, which is both untrue and also absolutely ridiculous. We informed her that this has been an issue since we moved in, with proof, and she still kept yelling. When we informed her we were moving out that the end of our lease, she informed us that she was extending our lease an additional 6 months. We told her no, and that that was not going to happen. The landlady refused to respond to any emails after that. The entire time we were there, she would only accept rent via checks, which she would hold onto and not cash for months, and we would have to remind her to cash them. The entire apartment absolutely reeked of weed from the people smoking on the stairs in front of the building. The heat was on full blast during the summer and barely on in the winter. There is no AC. There is barely any natural light. There is another tenant in the building that keep getting bug infestations and then the bugs end up in our apartment, and we had to keep spraying raid everywhere. Getting the pest control people to come only happens once a month, and she won’t move it up, even if there is a huge outbreak. The super is weird and unhelpful.
Advice to the owners
You should not be a landlord if you cannot provide safe apartments. Also, you are hostile and rude. Oh, and a lesson in how to use technology.o

relatively clean, great location, nice neighbors, laundry, affordable
Cons
landlord is very difficult, but the location is almost worth it.
