Small Space but good storage
Pros
There is a solid amount of storage for an apartment of this size (ours was a 2 bedroom with no living room, just a kitchen set up) but there is a large closet in the main room and both rooms have a 2 door and 3 door closet respectively. I was able to fit a queen bed, dresser, and full desk in my room. Very clean and updated, had laundry in unit and a dishwasher which was a huge plus. No issues at all with our neighbors. Neighborhood is safe and right downstairs is a trader joes. All in all a really solid apartment, just a small space.
Cons
Loud (next to freeway onramp - earplugs needed to sleep). It's VERY hot, even in the winter. No living room.
Advice to the owners
I think all in all this is a great, solid spot in NYC. Double paned windows would really increase the value of the property I think!
Lots of Space, Horrible Management
Pros
Big rooms, PreWar charm, decent appliances. Big kitchen, great neighborhood.
Cons
Management/Super are terrible- unresponsive and difficult. No help during pandemic (in fact rents continued to rise). Surprise water shut offs. Intermittent elevator breaking. Things in the apartment break or fall apart and no one comes to fix them- or the management decides for you what is worth their time to fix. Light in the units can be rough, especially if facing the housing project. Far too expensive for what you get. Cheap finishing (ie, particleboard cabinetry, cheap fixtures, etc).
Advice to the owners
Care more about your tenants! They are human beings.
