Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Matthew Ahdoot reveal a mixed management experience. Tenants find the properties often renovated with strong heating and water pressure, and appreciate generally responsive management efforts. However, persistent issues like garbage management, pest presence, and building repairs remain concerns, with some renters highlighting slow or unwilling responses to underlying problems. Noise levels and neighbor quality vary greatly across locations. While some tenants recommend the buildings for their location and cleanliness, others are discouraged by management’s inconsistency and unresolved maintenance challenges. Prospective renters should expect decent accommodations but may encounter delays addressing long-term building issues.

Reviews

Former tenant·10 months ago

decent building and good location

Pros

Management has been generally responsive to fixing issues, units are renovated, great location on a mostly quiet street. Lots of bars, cafes, restaurants and grocery stores nearby.

Cons

Trash has been a consistent issue, which attracts rats. Though maintenance patches issues they are not interested in addressing the root cause of issues (leaks have been a problem).

Advice to the owners

take out trash more frequently, address the root cause of persistent problems
