Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Christina Rivera reveal a mixed but generally positive management experience. Many appreciate the cleanliness, well-maintained properties, and friendly, responsive staff including doormen and supers, especially in buildings like 150 Ludlow Street and 372 Second Avenue. However, recurring complaints include noise issues from thin walls and external street noise, occasional pest problems, and inconsistent heating performance. Some tenants report slow or unhelpful responses from upper management, especially regarding maintenance delays and unresolved grievances. Despite these issues, tenants value the safe, clean, and secure environments, with many recommending the buildings for their convenient locations and overall comfort.

Clean apartment made out of wood

Pros

Clean and well kept. Very good staff. Very clean street without pests or overflowing trash

Cons

Very poorly insulated building. I had to move out because I could hear the upstairs neighbors' footsteps all night. I can hear conversations and dogs barking through the walls. The walls are so thin that I can hear the elevator opening and closing, as well as people going up and down the stairs. I only recommend it if you live on the top floor or if you are hard of hearing.

Advice to the owners

don't cheap out on building materials

Former tenant·5 months ago

Not bad, but not great either.

Pros

Super and doormen are great. Building is generally quiet but a few obnoxious neighbors.

Cons

Lived on the top floor of the building and had an issue with bugs coming in through the skylight. Water runs brown far more than it should. Loft unit apartments take forever to cool down and the combo washer/dryer is close to useless. Building promised they were building a gym in 2022 that never showed up. I just expect a little more for the price and distance to public transportation.

Advice to the owners

Fix the water and every other con becomes more palatable.
