Great space, landlords make you want to move
Pros
Top floor apartment is huge. A great amount of space in Astoria, half bathroom is a huge plus.
Cons
Landlords live right below the apartment and scream at each other at all hours of the day. It's incredibly disturbing and loud. If you put the garbage or recycling out wrong, ride an exercise bike, move your office chair on the floor, or do anything they don't like, however, they'll text you to complain. The skylights in the bathrooms are nice, but they leak when it rains or snows and the landlords have done nothing to fix them.
Advice to the owners
If you're going to rent a property in NYC, recognize that it means that other people are actually going to live there and that means dealing with some common living noises. And that although you may own the property, screaming at each other all the time is really disturbing and disruptive to the tenants.
