Good First NYC Apt

Pros

The apts feel updated with new appliances, and brick walls make the bedrooms a bit more soundproof. Great location, typically the building stays pretty secure and it’s mostly young people who make up the building.

Cons

Big rat problem in the trash room and the super will simply never respond to your texts. Danny, the man who takes out the trash is so beyond sweet and works hard to make everyone feel safe. Lots of Gnats and Flies seep into the building because of the courtyard trash room and we did have a mouse problem this year. Lots of loud drunk kids running up and down the stairs (primarily on weekends which is normal in LES). The Laundry room is in desperate need for an update. We call it the dungeon, and only 2/4 of the dryers have worked half the year.

Advice to the owners

Update the laundry room to bring better value to your building. Take action for stollen packages, and maybe re-allow rooftop access.
