Dysfunctional, but there’s potential
Pros
Rent controlled, generally consider neighbors, great windows and space
Cons
Landlord failed to furnish a renewal lease, refused to bring in new roommates. Laundry room rarely works, gym is moldy and not usable, roof is in need of repairs.
Advice to the owners
Be more willing to accommodate roommate living situations. Provide renewal leases, it’s the law.
