Job, the super, is great. Quiet building. Good place to live and management doesn't bother you.
Cons
There is a chronic roach problem, especially apparent in the basement laundry room. There are other pest issues as well, but management allows an exterminator to come manage it. Management is fine, especially as far as New York goes. They are impossible to get a hold of. They never answer the phone, or return voicemails, and never volunteered an email address until the pandemic. There is constant construction in the building. Only challenge is that they will nickel and dime you. They rented us an apartment with very old appliances. When multiple broke within a few months of moving in, charges for these new, basic-model appliances were reflected in our lease renewal. This seemed ridiculous when these appliances are outlined in the lease.
Advice to the owners
Please allow for easier communication. Tenants are only reaching out when they need to.
