Nightmare place to live

Layout is good
Cons
Dirty, landlord is maliciously negligent, loud, street is always under construction. The empty store front downstairs has loud parties all night and is not licensed as a business.

Nice Apartment, Unresponsive Landlord
Pros
The apartment is large and clean, and was renovated nicely. Close to the train with pleasant neighbors/downstairs business.
Cons
The landlord did not make repairs, the apartment doorbells do not work, units had been without heat for several days in a row in the winter because the landlord could not come to building with a key to the boiler room, landlord does not shovel the sidewalk on time when it snows. Landlord ignores messages if you request repairs. I have not received back my security deposit.
Advice to the owners
Hire a super, or figure out building management.
