Surviving Chaos in a Noisy Neighborhood

Pros

There is an elevator, but it's slow, and going down the stairs is faster.

Cons

Living in this neighborhood was tough, really tough. It wasn't just about dealing with a bit of inconvenience here and there—it was like fighting a battle every single day. Picture this: you come home exhausted after a long day, hoping for some peace and quiet, but instead, you're greeted with blasting Latino music from the neighbors across. It's like there's no consideration for anyone else's need for peace and quiet. And the streets? They were a mess. Everywhere you looked, trashy homeless people with trash piling up, making it feel more like a dump than a place where people lived. It's not just unsightly, all you need is to walk to the homeless eatery on the corner of 109 and 5th. Even inside the building, there was no escape from the chaos. The noise from other apartments was relentless, like a constant assault on your senses. And don't get me started on the lack of courtesy from some of the residents. It's like they've forgotten how to be decent human beings, with loud music and radio during the day and parties late into the night and no regard for anyone else's space. Living there felt like being constantly on edge, like you never knew when the next disruption would come. It wasn't just inconvenient. It was downright exhausting. And it made it really hard to find any sense of peace in what should have been your sanctuary.

Advice to the owners

Employee more people to maintain this place. It reeks CHEAP.

Money-Hungry & Neglectful Landlord

Pros

The only thing I enjoyed about this building when I lived there is how close transportation was around you. You have the 2&3 trains, the 6 train that has close transfer stops for the 4&5 trains. You have so many buses as well.

Cons

There’s so much criminal activity in this area. Shootings, stabbings, fights, DRUG USE. Also, the Super never picks up the phone, the landlord only cared about rent being paid and never about all the repair requests and complaints being handed to them. ALSO, this building has roaches and bedbugs galore! BEWARE

Advice to the owners

Do better, for the amount you charge in rent this place should be a hundred times better.
