People clean . It's not run down like other buildings.
Cons
Very loud and rude neighbors. Front door is always left open so anyone could come into the building.
Advice to the owners
Stay up with tenants and communicate. Also hire new helpers
Basement apartment
Pros
Located in a decent area in the Bronx.
Cons
Landlord is a slumlord. He is a massive master manipulator. I moved into this apartment not knowing it was illegal. It was approved by HRA. When recently filing a complaint to HPD about his absence in repairs and sewage constantly backing up; and him requesting more rent back in April 2020, they reported the apartment was illegal. He told the court he would find a way to make it legal. Which he has yet to do. In the meantime I am looking for another apartment to reside.
Advice to the owners
Treat your tenants like they’re humans. I hope no one ever has to experience what I experienced in your home.
