Pros
The neighborhood is nice and it’s easy to go to entertainment from this location. A lot of homeless people walking around though.
Cons
Just to clarify, this is the white building to the left of the picture. This building is not up to date and hasn’t been for a long time. The basement is very dangerous to walk down if you need something. The mailbox is broken, so all your mail will be exposed from time to time. There is water damage in the apartment that the landlord is fully aware of and did not fix. The landlord is VERY unprofessional and inhumane. When I gave my notice that I was leaving he turned off my hot water, threatened to turn off my electricity, came up with his own numbers of what he felt I should owe him from the previous months back to the present time.(without notice), gave no notice of changes to the rent (which is required by law) and turned off the wifi that he provided while living there. If you’re new to New York, make sure you know your rights as a tenant! Find yourself a broker and don’t make the same mistake I did by moving here!
