Full service building with great staff
Pros
We have a wonderful staff who do a great job and always ready to help. Laundry room, basement sitting room and gym are opened 24 hours. 24 hour doormen. My apartment is well insulated from other tenant noise and it is a quiet place to live. There can be noise from outside traffic, etc., but if you close the windows you can't hear it. The Management Company is very responsive. Right across the street from Riverside Park which is a bonus.
Cons
Rent is high and increases are also high. The renovations that were done when it went coop could have been better. The appliances are high end, but the they used formica covering over particleboard for the kitchen cabinets is a problem because you have to reglue it down frequently. Many of the apartments are sponsor apartments and there are some rent stabilized units. You need to pay for credit check and move in. No interview needed. Many restrictions to move in and move out, but manageable.
Advice to the owners
The building is well run. They hired wonderful staff. The area is beautiful and I love living here.
