Horrendous, Ended Lease Early
Pros
Close-ish to trains, landlord was pretty flexible getting me in on a last-minute/rushed lease (should have seen this as a sign).
Cons
The NOISE from Iggys(downstairs bar) & Stumble Inn (neighboring bar) is insane. I was there through COVID when bars could start hosting people outside and Iggy's was so disrespectful of neighbors by having giant crowds and so much noise. Most of the 311 calls noted on this page I'm sure were from me, it was a daily call towards the end. What led me to break the lease was the floor literally broke, I was told "my furniture was too heavy" (it was my bed, nothing out of the ordinary) and broke through the floorboards. Their response was to fill it with caulk until I moved out. Oh, also, the entire apartment is at a 15 degree angle, all of my furniture needed to be leveled with rubber shims because items would *literally* roll off otherwise. Heat bills were insane because that radiator is old as the hills and even on full blast I was freezing, took them the full time I was there to *finally* replace the windows which were basically plastic.
Advice to the owners
Genuinely renovate the apartment & make it sound proof, it *could* be a good apartment if the smallest amount of care was taken.
