decent apartment building

Pros

The super and porter are very nice, the elevator works 99% of the time, the neighbors are generally very sweet, the building is pet friendly

Cons

Landlord and property management are impossible to get ahold of, pest management is terrible

Advice to the owners

please communicate more with tenants and give some form of contact where we can immediately reach someone during business hours

I see some violations related to a leaky roof - has this been resolved?

I asked the tenants who had the issue, and they haven’t had a leak since the landlord did some roof repairs in response to the violation that was filed

i remember this because I ran into her in the elevator last year. she said that they plastered over her place and never updated her about the roof, but no additional water has leaked. I feel bad for her, she the hole was right over her toilet and emailed the management company for months and months and they kept ignoring her until she went to housing court
