It gets the job done
Pros
It's new and modern. There's a virtual doorman system and a roof. Building does feel very clean, the sanitation worker does a great job every morning.
Cons
The mailroom is not utilized, could be more organized. There's only one set of washer/dryer. Management is not responsive / not very good communicators. Each unit is about 600 square feet. It's more like a one bedroom with a small office rather than a two bedroom. Upon move-in, our apartment was not cleaned or painted. An absolute mess. Every time we've been sent a lease renewal, they choose not to include the renewal price in the letter - we have had to chase them on a number.
Advice to the owners
Improve your communication skills, be more proactive on checking in on your tenants.
Not a Bad Place (Albiet Overpriced)
Pros
First apartment I've lived in where I haven't seen a single roach or rodent. The rooftop was amazing because no one was ever on it but me. Back yard is gorgeous and lush in the summer. You can watch birds, cats, and other critters do their thing out there.
Cons
Overpriced. You'll pay way too much rent to also have to pay heat and hot water. Everything is electric so it wasn't uncommon for our electric bill to be over $200-400 a month. We also had an issue with residents buzzing anyone into the building and then packages were being stolen, but management made the glass door opaque and made a package room (that isn't really used) and it fixed the issue. USPS is lazy and will often put wads of mail in the open mailbox. There's also someone on the first floor that plays piano (poorly) extremely loudly at all hours of the day and night and never stopped despite talking to them. Overall, for the neighborhood, and the size of the places, it's not worth it. BUT no bugs was nice.
Advice to the owners
The units are not worth the asking price
